Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Artisan Dough Academy website, online courses, and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Artisan Dough Academy ("we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Ontario, Canada. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use our Services. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are between 16 and 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use our Services.

2. Account Registration

To access purchased courses, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide truthful and accurate registration information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Not share your account credentials with any other person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being shared or misused.

3. Course Purchases and Pricing

All course prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change course pricing at any time; however, price changes will not affect courses you have already purchased.

Upon successful payment, you will receive immediate access to the purchased course content. Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment provider. We do not store your complete payment card information on our servers.

4. Digital Content License

When you purchase a course from Artisan Dough Academy, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the course content for your personal, non-commercial use. This license is subject to the following conditions:

• Personal use only: Course content is licensed for your individual learning. You may not share, redistribute, or make the content available to others.
• No reproduction: You may not copy, record, download (except where a download feature is explicitly provided), screenshot, or reproduce course videos, materials, or resources.
• No commercial use: You may not use course content for any commercial purpose, including but not limited to reselling, creating derivative works for sale, or incorporating content into paid products or services.
• No modification: You may not alter, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on our course content without prior written permission.
• Lifetime access: Your license grants you access to the purchased course for as long as the course remains available on our platform. We make reasonable efforts to maintain course availability but cannot guarantee perpetual access in extraordinary circumstances (see Section 10).

5. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and within our courses — including but not limited to video recordings, written materials, recipes, images, graphics, logos, trademarks, and software — is the intellectual property of Artisan Dough Academy or our instructors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Recipes and techniques taught in our courses may be used in your personal cooking and baking. However, the specific instructional content, presentations, and written materials remain our intellectual property and may not be reproduced or distributed.

6. User Conduct

When using our Services, you agree not to:

• Violate any applicable federal, provincial, or local laws or regulations
• Use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of our platform, systems, or networks
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or our staff through any platform feature
• Post defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content in forums or reviews
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or collect data from our platform

7. Refund Policy

Our refund policy for digital course purchases is detailed on our Refund Policy page. By purchasing a course, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of our refund policy.

8. Disclaimers

Our courses provide educational content related to pizza making, baking, and cooking techniques. While we strive for accuracy and quality:

• We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, skill levels, or professional qualifications upon completion.
• Certificates of completion issued by Artisan Dough Academy are for personal achievement recognition and are not accredited professional certifications.
• Cooking involves inherent risks including but not limited to burns, cuts, and food safety hazards. You assume full responsibility for your safety when practising techniques taught in our courses.
• Nutritional and dietary information provided in our courses is for general educational purposes and does not constitute medical or dietary advice. Consult a healthcare professional for specific dietary needs.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, Artisan Dough Academy, its officers, directors, employees, instructors, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Services.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the specific course or service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain uninterrupted access to our platform and course content. However, we may temporarily suspend or restrict access to our Services for maintenance, updates, security patches, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

In the unlikely event that we permanently discontinue a course, enrolled students will be given at least 90 days' notice and the opportunity to download available course materials.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Artisan Dough Academy with respect to your use of the Services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
